Last Instar Pupae Specimen Male Dorsal - Black colored Male Dorsal - orange colored Male Ventral Photo Details - ©Nicky Davis LOCATION:  Steven Kohler and Jacque Wolfe ex. female 15 July 2009, 6-7 miles South East of Whitlash, Breed Creek, Liberty, Montana elevation 4720-4800 feet.  Female oviposited on Penstemon eatoni, reared on same. HOST PLANT For photos click on Penstemon eatoni HIBERNATION These had a hibernation in the winter of 2009, 2010 and 2011.  They hibernated then were taken out in spring to feed for a while but they kept going back into hibernation.
