Todd Stout extracted the females July 2,  2005 at  an elevation of 7400 feet  in Rilda Canyon on the South side of  Huntington Canyon, 10.5 m ESE of  Huntington, Emery County, Utah -  Emerged January 16, 2006

Characteristics
35-50 mm (1 3/8 to 2 inches), tan, yellow or fray background with light patches, 2 black eyespots on forewaing. Host: Blue grama. Flight: May to August, 1 flight.  flies low, hops around like grasshoppers, usually lands with closed wings.
