Characteristics
Annual weed grows to 3 feet
tall. Leaves are arrow shaped and are covered with tiny
silvery/white scales. The stems are also covered with these
scales. Female and male flowers are separate but on the same
plant. The flowers are in the joints of the leaves and in a spike
at the top of the stems.
