| PHOTO DETAILS - ©Nicky Davis LOCATION: Jacque Wolfe located a female in City Creek, Salt Lake County, Utah, 8 September 2011 ELEVATION: 5500 feet Oviposited on Reed Canary Grass - Poaceae Phalaris arundinacea , 8th thru 10th of September 2011 Reared on same LIFE HISTORY: Ovum: about nine days Larva: First instar took 8 days to start feeding - fed about 34 days - After 34 days they walked off the plant and stopped feeding but didn't pupate for 7 or 8 days Pupa: about 17 days Adult: unknown Broods: unknown Hibernation: Overwinters as Larva Host Plants: Grasses - For photos of host plant used to rear these, click on Reed Canary Grass- Phalaris arundinacea Back to Top |
