LIFE HISTORY:
Ovum:  Female
oviposited on net in cage containing a potted  Carex Nebrascensis Ova hatched after 7-9 days
Larva:  First Instar for seven days, Second Instar for five days, Third Instar for  six days, #1 Fourth Instar for 16 days, #20 Fourth Instar for 6 days, #20 Fifth Instar for  8 days. A  total of  between 31 and 42 days as larvae.
Pupa:  They spent 10 days as pupae
Adult:  unknown
Broods:  One Flight  per "The Butterflies of North America"  -  James A Scott
Hibernation: 

Larval Host Plant :  Fed on Reed Canary Grass - Phalaris arundinacea
Refused Carex microptera
