The lack of a  bump under 2nd segment and 2 appendages make this a female

Thorax and head

Characteristics
  • Length of 1 5/8 to 1 11/16 inches.
  •  Adult Male thorax  marked with a pair of yellow spots.
  • The abdomen pattern is  red, pink, and golden brown.
  • The leading wing edges  have orange-pink wing veins.
  • Mature females  are marked similarly but with less red. Immature males and females are paler  and  mottled with pale green, pale yellow, golden brown, and orange.
  • The leading edges of the wings have brownish  veins.
