Per  - White-gilled, white spotted usually with a red cap but has subspecies of varying color such as brown (regalis) and yellow-orange (flavivolvata).
Poisonous or psychoactive
Associates with deciduous and coniferous trees
 "After parboiling which removes the mushroom's psychoactive substances, it is eaten in parts of Europe, Asia and North America".
