Photo Details June 9, 2005 - Butterfield Canyon, Salt Lake County, Utah - ©Nicky Davis Description Scouringrush is found along streambanks and in dry soils.  Leaves are at the stem nodes and are scale-like appendages.  The stems have a spore producing cone at the tip, are coarse with evergreen stems, have bands at the base of each collar and are hollow.
